Okay- okay okay, so I’ve been holding back from answering this for a whiiilllee because I found it difficult to ramble about Wukong because my selfship with him is…complicated…[Rambling below!]

I love Wukong, I really do! And I really wanted to selfship with him when I first started to realize I had a crush on him. But- unlike allll of my other self ships, I couldn’t for the life of me think of lore for him and my sona. And I KNOW that’s not a big of a deal, selfshipping is supposed to be fun and free, but that little annoying bit in my brain keeps on telling me I have to have something planned out before selfshipping with him fully, like- before making a sona or drawing any art. And that’s okay! If it’s really bothering that small part of my brain so much, I’ll listen to it and put that selfship on the back burner and let me think about it.

But….in the mean time…there’s a certain other monkey that I’ve been eyeing uppp….

Macaque is so stupid. He is so edgy and thinks he’s so much cooler than he actually is. He’s exactly my type of guy. I can’t NOT fuck him.

For some reason, lore for him and my sona came SOO much easier than the lore or Wukong and my sona.

My sona, who, I’m just calling Sam for now cause I want to give her a Chinese themed name, but I wanna make sure I don’t accidentally fuck it up, so I’m putting that on the back burner for now as well! But annyyyway, she’s a sort of goddess. I don’t want to say exactly a goddess because I’d feel obligated to research Chinese legends so I don’t accidentally insult anyone but research scares me so I’m not committed to anything yet.

But, she’s technically a sky goddess. More specifically, a thunder/lightning goddess. She thinks so insanely high of herself and she is not afraid to let you know that. I’m sure all the praise she gets from her followers and stuff doesn’t help her ego but whatever.

Right now she’s trying to blend more into modern times, I don’t know whyyyy she’s doing this, she’s not afraid to just i go nto goddess mode randomly in the streets if there’s any danger, I think she’s just trying be ‘hip with the kids’ since she’s technically like thousands of years old. Idk.

She’d probably be introduced to the main group during when Lady Bone Demon freezes over the city and she joins the group to help. In the first few seasons/episodes she wouldn’t take up to much spotlight, she’d just be like Nezha at first before getting more dedicated episodes.

I don’t think I’ve described her that well so if you’re interested feel free to check out the Pinterest section I have for her (I also have one for her and Macaque)

Speaking of her and Macaque, I haven’t quite figured out their dynamic yet, only bits and pieces, but I like to think that at first they had a bit of a friendly rivalry. At first their egos would definitely clash causing them to get in petty arguments which would then lead to a small physical fight to let off steam.

It would start like Sam getting mad or petty at Macaque, throwing a lightning bolt in his direction, and when he ducks and turns around to stare at the lightning bolt now wedged into the wall, before smirking at her and being like. “Oh, ho ho ho, so you wanna go?”

And despite them having a sort of rivalry at first, it went by so quick I wouldn’t call their dynamic enemies to lovers, idk what I would call them tbh, but def not enemies to lovers lol.

They would often start physical fights, mostly by Sam being eager to show off and just fight and Macaque just humoring her. They would often do it to train, or just when both of them have won’t up energy, but when their relationship turns more romantic there would be something about how they fight that would make the group leave the room due to being grossed out.

ALSO! I kind of headcanon that in this universe, where my selfship exists, ShadowPeach did happen. And Macaque was dedicated, he was ready to give that relationship his all. And Wukong (who I headcanon to have commitment issues) was scared shitless at that fact.

But my sona is nothing if not committed. She’ll brag about her relationship with macaque, 24-7. If anyone insults him? Uhm??? Excuse you??? How dare you insult the partner of the sky goddess???

And Macaque is not used to that, at all!! He’s used to being the one who’s dedicated, not the other way around.

This is REALLY long, don’t feel pressured to read all of it. At this point it might as well be a fic but just with my ramblings

OKAYOKAYOKAYOKAY

So my sona’s name is Abigail and goes by Abbie (name pending!) and she is a rich bitch. She’s not from Piltover, she’s still from Zuan so her family isn’t THAT rich, but I would think her family has connections to the people that work with Silco (you know the guys at the long table??? Idk what they’re called) so they’re more well off than the average family in the under city. Definitely a bit spoiled, but here’s the thing, Abbie does her best (her parents don’t really let her) to work for herself, sure she’s well off, but she doesn’t want her family to be why she gets anywhere in life, she wants that all to be her and her alone.

So when Silco starts to reign and shimmer becomes something she doesn’t really know what to do. Sure, she does her best to be independent, but she’s still a smug, cocky, and spoiled brat, so worried for her own safety, she works for Silco. Not one of his right hand men, he probably doesn’t even know her name, BUT she does do some of his dirty work for the reward of Shimmer. (I haven’t watched season 1 in a while so sorry if this isn’t correct at all, at this point I’m making up my own cannon) and she gets ADDICTED. Not really in the strength way, but in the way that it makes her feel worthy. She doesn’t use enough to become super strong or whatever, but to just give her that rush.

Luckily, she stops herself before it gets to a point that it would be deadly, BUT I think the overuse of shimmer would cause a huge scar on her face. Her face that her family prided themselves on, her face that she was taught that was the most important thing about her, her face that she used to survive on the streets.

So breaking out of her shimmer addiction, now with self esteem issues, she joins the firelights, not because she needs their support (that’s what she keeps telling them anyway) but because she thinks they need her support.

Ekko, when he first meets her, HATES her, and I mean HATE. What does she know about struggling? Her whole life was given to her, unlike him who had to work for it all.

And in turn, Abbie hates him, she hates that he doesn’t even take a second glance at her to try to see past her rich background. To see how hard she actually tries. We love a good enemies to lovers

It doesn’t help that Abbie HATES training for fighting. She never fought physically in her life, her main talents are manipulation (her parents didn’t get that rich by being completely honest after all, they taught her a thing or two) This only makes Ekko thinks she’s a spoiled brat even more

But surprisingly, Ekko’s the first to fall. I think it starts (or at least when the hatred starts to dwindle) when he spots her babysitting and playing with the kids. Instead of being her usual snobby self, not wanting to get dirty, she’s letting their dirty hands play with her hair that she cares so much about, her clothes, hell she even rolled in the mud with them. Ekko usually sees her fussing over her looks (again, her parents taught her that) so seeing her throw out her worries for some kids really makes him question his first impression about her.

He doesn’t despise her now, he doesn’t enjoy her, they’re not friends (Abbie still hates him) but there’s at least a little of respect there. Instead of seeings her as ‘that one firelight recruit who’s just a rich brat who’s used to having everything handed to her’, he now sees her as ‘spoiled brat who’s not used to this kind of stuff but is good with kids’ an improvment.

But when he actually starts falling for her is when he sees how hard she was actually trying this whole time. Character development goes brrr because when she first joined she hated training, but trying to prove to Ekko that she’s worth something (not because she feels like she needs to prove herself to him, she’s just being petty) she starts training. So when Ekko stumbles in on her training until the middle of the night, exhausted, he just stares for a moment, noticing the bags under her eyes, the sweat dripping down her forehead, how tired her arms looked yet she still kept going. He left before she could notice him, but strangely he started to smile at her through the halls of the base, laughing at her sarcastic remarks instead of scoffing, and now she spots him staring at her with a dopey smile.

Abbie, takes a bit more long to start to actually like him, but she definitely falls harder. Honestly, at first (and even afterwards, although she would never admit it,) she admired Ekko. unlike her who was handed everything, he worked for everything. He made this beautiful society all on his own, not with the help of almost anyone. She almost wants to be like him.

So it’d be an understatement to say she was hurt when he didn’t hide his distaste for her, calling her spoiled, which was true but the least he could do was pretend he didn’t mind her. So her dislike towards him was mostly out of petty, she is very much petty almost all the time, I’m really not hiding the fact that if I met her irl I would punch her (which is somewhat concerning since she’s my own sona)

But she starts falling for him when she’s playing with some of the kids and he joins in (I definitely imagine a scenario, not necessarily at this specific point in their relationship, maybe when they’re actually a thing, where they play the classic knight saves the princess game with the kids) she just pauses when she sees the tough guy leader mask fall off and a soft and caring guy shine through, a guy whose own childhood got stolen from him. She doesn’t fall for him right away, but her pettiness at least starts to chip away.

But what really does it for her is when he asks her to help him with some paper work (nothing fancy, just food shipments and plans for future missions) because she, out of anyone there was used to paper work (again, her family background). She does it, expecting him to be nit picking at everything over her shoulder, but instead, he joined in, putting in his own ideas while…listening to hers. Something no one else in her past did before. If she ever gave her own ideas in any family meetings or whatever they would have, her parents would just brush it off, brush her off.

It would probably end with her falling asleep and him leaving his jacket on her for a blanket, and when she wakes up and realizes she recognizes his smell on the jacket, she knew she was in deep shit.

Usually I like making my self ships fumbling between the ‘friends (…or more…?)’ stage. But I love imagining them as a power couple, often arguing like an old married couple.

I think that when they both gained feelings for each other they would both hide them from each other, knowing that with how the world was at the moment, romance should be the last thing on their minds. I honestly think the way they would confess is if someone (maybe Ekko) would be talking and let something about their feelings slip unintentionally, cue the other just slowly turning their head to stare at them. They continue walking, trying to ignore how awkward everything was now, before Abbie slowly bumps him with her shoulder, intertwining their pinkies together, and slowly they awkwardly transition into friends but now they sometimes kiss and cuddle and hold hands and giggle while whispering to eachother during firelight meetings and sleeping in the same bed.

I like to think that Abbie had never loved literally anyone else in her whole life. Her family she thought she loved, but really, the only feelings she had for her parents were respect, they raised her, she respected them for that, but she didn’t love them, and they didn’t love her. But Ekko, Ekkos she loves. And that scares her. She knows she’s not perfect, especially her looks that she thought was the best part of here so she worries about not being enough for him.

>Ekko used to call her princess in a taunting way, but after getting together, he uses it as if he thinks it’s actually true, he wouldn’t doubt it if she was actually secretly one of the princesses that he’s read in the fairytales

>Other than princess, Ekko also calls her babe, brat (when they’re acting like a old married couple) firefly, shortie, etc

>Abbie calls him clock boy, captain, handsome, knight in shining armor, light of my life (usually when’s eh broke something or is asking him for something)

-My sona owns an apartment so I’m pretty sure that when they get more serious Billy would move in since I’m like- 99% sure he’s living with one of his friends currently (Nicole I’m pretty sure)

-Eve, I know you. So I know you’ll understand when I say that these two are practically just Leo and Tomiko

-so- ya know the Starlight Knights? That show Billy loves? I like to think Ash only watched clips of it before meeting him for the animation. So when they get together and watch it together, they both focus on parts of the show they usually wouldn’t. Ash finally focuses on the story and characters instead of just the animation, and Billy finally realizes how much story telling is shown visually through the art and animation

-Since Billy is a robot he doesn’t get sick, so whenever Ash does he thinks she’s dying or something

-Ever since they met at the arcade ash works at Billy comes by way more often. Saying that he was earning and saving up his tickets for a prize when in reality he isn’t even playing any games, just talking to Ash

-Ash would make him fanart of Starlight Knights, as well as draw his sona lol

-they would wear couple costumes for Halloween, either something cute like starlight night characters or something stupid like Sans and the queen of England

-Billy would have pet names for her like ‘Starlight (starlight knights ref) princess, Ashyyyyyyyyy (he always draws out the Y too) beautiful or handsome’

-Ash would have pet names for him like ‘my knight (starlight knights ref) pretty boy, handsome’

🕹️SpaceInvader💫- Ash definitely fell first, Billy is the first person ever in her life who actually listens to all her ramblings and actually seems interested in understanding her, which, with her parents who almost always worked, she wasn’t used to. But I think she’s an oblivious dumb fuck and wouldn’t realize it. She just thinks her feelings are a bit more intense form of friendship, he’s just a friend who she cuddles sometimes and kinda wants to kiss and spend the rest of her life with but still just friends! Billy would understand his feelings almost immediately when he gained them though (which took him a bit to gain since I just don’t think he was even thinking about romance when he met Ash)

👾Mimitchi🥕- Jax fell first, which may seem a bit surprising but he didn’t realize his feelings for like- ages. I mean think about it, he hates (or at least doesn’t like) any of the other circus members so when he meets someone who he doesn’t hate immediately and he finds funny and maybe a bit pretty (although he’d never admit that) he’s gonna fall cuz he’s a stupid loser and we love him for it. Chi (my sona) realized her feelings soon after gaining them, not immediately but probably after a day or so when they’re just joking around and he feels the urge to strangle Jax but kiss him at the same time and he’s confused at first before her eyes widen and she falls into silence as she realizes that she fell in love with a loser.

🕹️SpaceInvader💫- They both are awkward as hell, but in different ways. Ash’s awkward in the way that, he’s trying to push down his feelings while also becoming a blushing mess whenever Billy does literally anything. Ash loves and treasures Billy and her’s friendship so much, she treasurers him so much, that the thought of admitting her feelings and him leaving because of it, terrifies her. BUT when she does accept her feelings she tries to flirt with him only to find out that she sucks ASS at it. Billy on the other hand is awkward as he tries to embrace his feelings for Ash, flirting (although he SUCKS at it), complimenting, showing more affection through actions and touch. But he’s stiff while doing it all and, as previously stated, he sucks at flirting. Ash is to busy in her self loathing and doubt that she doesn’t even realize any of it, only catching onto some compliments when Billy literally throws them in her face, which makes him a flustered mess. Billy catches onto the flirts but think they’re just jokes and awkwardly laughs but in the inside he’s crying and yelling and throwing up (in a good way)

👾Mimitchi🥕- again, they both stumble but the roles are kinda reversed. Jax stumbles as he tries to push Chi away to try to get rid of his feelings when he realizes he has them. Chi stumbles as she tries to awkwardly embrace her feelings despite still hating him but wanting to kiss him now. Giving Jax reluctant compliments which only freaks Jax out because the way they truly bond is insulting and threatening eachother while Chi, inexperienced with romance tries to do what she sees in movies and books. Compliments, flirts, stuff like that, but Jax is freaked out by that. This isn’t his Chi and he doesn’t like it. It’s not the person who he feels like he can relax and be himself around, he feels like Chi expects him to do the same and he’s kinda scared of that, while Chi on the other hand is scared that if she doesn’t do every single thing about this right, how she sees others do it, Jax will leave her, so she technically changed herself to how she think Jax would like her when, no. He wants his old Chi back. But when they start their relationship they start to go back to their own way of showing affection (threats, strangling eachother, /lh) they do have genuine moments through touch and silence.

No awkward time frame where they try to get used to dating since, after they both (mostly only Ash) accepts their feelings they genuinely act like a couple even before they tell each other’s how they feel. They cuddle, hold hands, sleep in each other’s bed, their friends start to genuinely think they’re dating even though Ash and Billy are just being idiots.

👾Mimitchi🥕- a bit. Doesn’t take that long for them to become bitches who are friends to bitches who are now kissing. There is about like…maybe a week? Maaaaaybe more? Where they figure out how to show affection, as previously said. They’re just like how they were as friends but now on adventures they always team up, they sleep in each others rooms, hold hands while walking around, etc. but no big acts or anything. Yes, they become more confident then they were as friends, only after dating does Jax let down his walls and Chi starts to come to Jax when she needs comfort (mostly just cuddling)
